In 1989, the first plastic BGA (Ball Grid Array) was invented by Motorola and Citizen. Today, BGA packages are part of many Design Engineers parts library. Below are some links to learn about using BGAs in your next PCB design, as well as a special offer for assembly of BGA devices.
Screaming Circuits is offering $1.50 per BGA placement on all orders of $1500 and more. This includes up to 100 BGA placements, and includes X-ray of each BGA to verify solderability, during April and May 2004.
To redeem: Mention promotional code BGA2004 when ordering, or enter it in Step 3 of the order process online.
